Kayla Davidson-Reel joined the Millsaps softball coaching staff in 2018.
She is no stranger to Millsaps softball, donning the purple from 2016-2018. She was named the SAA Newcomer of the Year and first-team All-SAA in 2017 after leading the SAA with 16 wins and 194 strikeouts and posting a 1.28 ERA in 95.2 innings. In 2018, before an injury cut her senior season short, she posted eight wins and 88 strikeouts in 76 innings. She also was hitting .320 at the plate.
Prior to coming to Millsaps, she played two years at Louisiana State-Eunice where she was 8-0 with a 1.38 ERA in 2015 and 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA in 2014. She also helped pitch her team to a NJCAA Championship in 2014.
Before college, she attended the Silliman Institute in Clinton, Louisiana where she was named to the all-district team five straight years. She also helped pitch the Wildcats to state championships in 2010, ‘11, ‘12 and ‘13.
Davidson-Reel graduated from Millsaps College in 2018 with a degree in business administration.
