Box Score Jackson, MS – The Millsaps women's soccer team fell in their regular season home finale earlier tonight.

Local rival Mississippi College made the trip to Harper Davis Field for a nonconference Wednesday matchup.  The Choctaws improve to 11-1-3 with tonight's rivalry win.  After scoring in the first three minutes, Mississippi College never looked back en route to a 5-0 victory.

Sydney Oliver started the game's scoring on a string of passes from Sayit Mejia Bello and Lauren Smith three minutes into the game.  A deflected Mississippi College shot resulting in a Majors 'own goal' gave the Choctaws a 2-0 first half lead.

Mississippi College outshot the Majors 10-3 in the first period of play as Majors starting goalkeeper Elise Davis earned eight first half saves.  Davis' total saves of 15 marked a season high for the Majors.  Davis recorded the 15 saves on 24 shots from Mississippi College.

In the second half of play, Jess Davenport scored two goals for Mississippi College to give the Choctaws a 4-0 lead.  Gaylynn Cooper added another as Mississippi College won the contest 5-0.

The Majors totaled five shots tonight as the loss drops them to 3-13-1.  Millsaps will look to rebound for the final conference game of the regular season this weekend.

Next up for the Millsaps women's soccer team is a trip to Memphis, Tennessee where the Majors will face Rhodes College Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1:00 pm.
