JACKSON, MISS. – In the second end of their back-to-back conference home games this weekend, the Majors secured their first home and conference win against Oglethorpe University 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-18).

Individually, the Majors received quality ofensive contributions from multiple players on the team. Regan Riddle led the way with nine kills, Morgan Vincent followed with seven, Erica Bennett and Lena Barrett chipped in five kills a piece, and Shelby Marsh also made up for four kills. As a team, Millsaps combined for 121 total attacks. Setter Shelby Marsh gained 28 assists and Presley Stoltzfus scored a solid five service aces.

On defense, Ashley Zamjahn led the way once again with 19 digs, followed by Shelby Marsh and Meredith Gates with 11 and 10 respectively. The team fought hard and outlasted Oglethorpe for the seventh time in a row.

The Majors next outing will be against rivaling neighbor Belhaven University on Tuesday, Sept. 4! They'll be looking for their first two game win streak of the season. The first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
