SERIES: Â The Majors will face off against the 2nd ranked team in the SAA conference, Washington University in St. Louis at home this weekend for their Homecoming match. The Majors will also be honoring Juan Joseph '08 in the pre-game ceremony, presenting Alex Foust with the first annual Juan Joseph Award.
LAST OUTING: Millsaps: Millsaps outscored Birmingham-Southern 41-28 to win their first conference game of the season. Running Back Taz Watson led the way on the ground with an incredible four touchdown performance day. Watson also gained 144 yards. Rashad Sims had two rushes for 42 yards and Ty Proctor had 4 rushes for 40 yards as the Majors rushed for 255 yards today. At Quarterback, Ty Proctor completed 12 of 20 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.On the defensive side of the ball, CJ Coleman led the way with seven solo tackles. Hector Sandoval was right behind him with six tackles. Alex Foust, Chandler Loy, and Chase Hale all had sacks.

Wash U: Washington University in St. Louis beat Sewanee 34-6. Quarterback J.J. Tomlin completed 23-of-36 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Kevin Hammarlund had nine catches for 133 yards and two TDs, while wide receiver Marcus Ramspott hauled in five catches for a career-high 116 yards and a TD. WashU totaled 456 yards of total offense in the win. Linebacker Jake Coon made 12 tackles to lead the WashU defense, and defensive back Nick Annin, defensive lineman Jared Lake, defensive back Nate Lowis and defensive back Andrew Ralph had seven tackles.
PAST MEETINGS:  WashU and Millsaps are meeting for the 10th time in school history – and for the second time since 1987. Millsaps leads the all-time series between the two teams 8-1. The teams first met in 1978.

Last year the two teams met at WashU, and WashU came out on top 70-32. The Majors collected 343 yards through the air and 120 yards rushing. WashU had 334 yards passing and 187 yards rushing.
COACHES: Millsaps head coach Aaron Pelch is 41-33 into his eighth season at the helm of the Majors, with his best year coming in 2013 with a record of 9-1.
Pelch was named SAA Coach of the Year in both 2012 and 2013 as he guided the Majors to conference championships.
Pelch is 0-1 vs. Washington University in St. Louis.
Head coach Larry Kindbom (Kalamazoo, 1974) is in his 28th season at WashU, compiling a record of 171-106 (.617). His 171 wins rank him as the all-time winningest coach at WashU. Overall, in 34 seasons, Kindbom is 199-136-1 (.594), and is the fourth-winningest active NCAA Division III head coach. Head coach Larry Kindbom is one win shy of 200 victories for his career and will be seeking that victory at Millsaps this Saturday.
