Jackson, MS - The Millsaps Men's Tennis Team earned a pair of non-conference wins to start Saturday's triple header play.
 
The Majors defeated both Centenary and Tougaloo 9-0 to improve to 2-1 on the season.  Many of the younger members of the Millsaps Men's Tennis Team also earned their first wins with the Majors in today's matches as well.
 
In singles play at the five spot, Majors freshman Brian Deason earned his first wins with Millsaps in dominant fashion 6-0, 6-0 (Centenary) and 6-0, 6-0 (Tougaloo).  Freshman Ryan Henry also earned his first wins as a Major with victories against the Bulldogs and Gents.
 
At the two spot against Centenary, Henry earned a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win.  Additionally, in the one spot against Tougaloo, Henry earned an intense comeback win.  After falling in the first set 2-6, Henry fought back to win 6-2 in the second and 10-5 in the tiebreaker set.
 
In all, four freshmen earned their first wins in singles play for the Majors.  Ryan Henry, Cooper Cearley, Justin Stubblefield and Brian Deason all highlighted the win for Millsaps in the first match of the day against Centenary.
 
Senior Thomas Mills also helped complete the dominant performance for the Majors with two solid wins on the day (6-0, 6-0/6-0,6-1).  Overall, the Majors won the first two matches of the day by a combined 18-0.
 
The Millsaps Men's Tennis Team used the positive momentum moving into the third and final match of the day against Huntingdon, which took place at 2:00 pm.
