Box Score Conway, AR - The Millsaps Softball Team earned their first conference series win with a 3-1 victory over Hendrix on the road.
Sunday's contest marks the final day of a three-game series between the Warriors and Majors, as Millsaps scored three runs in the fourth (with two outs) en route to a 3-1 win.
Missy Romero and
Kaitlyn Casias led in hits with two each while starting pitcher
Cassidy DeNoon improves to 9-5 on the year with the win.
The Warriors scored a run in the third on an RBI double to take an early 1-0 lead. From there, the Majors responded with a fourth inning rally to take the lead - and never looked back.
Katelyn Murray got things started in the positive fourth with a double to left field. A strike out and fly out put two outs on the board, but the Majors were never phased.
Kaitlyn Casias put Millsaps on the board scoring Murray on an RBI double to left field.
MK Bozeman then singled through the left side and the rally was on.
Kat Romero scored Casias on a single to the shortstop, which allowed
MK Bozeman to advance on a throwing error by Hendrix.
Missy Romero then scored Bozeman on an RBI single, which closed out the positive fourth with the Majors leading 3-1. Millsaps scored the three runs on five hits and no errors.
The three-run fourth would be all the Majors needed for a win, as
Cassidy DeNoon and the Majors' defense closed out the game in the final three innings. In all, DeNoon allowed only one run on five hits while striking out five batters.

Kaitlyn Casias all earned RBIs to give Millsaps the 3-1 victory.
Now at 13-10 (2-1 in SAA play), the Majors will look to quickly turn around and continue the positive momentum with a midweek conference matchup against Birmingham Southern.
The Panthers and Majors will play a three game series, starting with a double header on Tuesday. First pitch from the Millsaps Softball Complex is set for Tuesday March 22nd at 12:00 pm.
