Men's Tennis beats Centenary 9-0

BOX SCORE JACKSON, MISS. -- Men's Tennis beats Centenary 9-0

Millsaps Men's Tennis played a rare four matches in one day slate. The Majors went an impressive 3-1 in these games.

In the first match against Tougaloo, the Majors dominated the doubles competition, sweeping each match 8-0. 14th ranked Alex Centurion and Davis Plummer made their 2017 debut in the one spot. In singles competition, Millsaps won each matchup over Tougaloo easily for their first team win of the day.

Their second match of the day was against Centenary, where the Majors again dominated the competition, winning 9-0.

Blue Mountain College was the fourth matchup of the day for the Majors, and it was a little closer than the first two but Millsaps still got the team win 8-1. The duo of Ryan Henry and Brian Deason won their doubles matchup 8-1 and Owen Stovall and Josh Shearin won 8-0. Cooper Cearley, Ryan Henry, Brian Deason, Cameron Doles and Kyle Luce all took care of the matchups in singles competition.

Millsaps' fourth and final matchup of the day was a tough, close match against University of Mobile where the Majors came up short as a team 7-2. 14 Centurion/Plummer fell in their doubles matchup 7-9 and Millsaps  fell in their other doubles matches against Mobile.Diego Marti-Vertiz and Henry Friedler came through and won in their singles matches.
