Box Score 2 SHERMAN, Tx. -- Millsaps Softball team sweeps the road doubleheader at Austin College. The Majors won the front end of the doubleheader 19-2 in five innings, and won game two 6-2 in eight innings.
In the first game,
Rayner LeBlanc went 3-4 with two doubles and three runs scored.
Cassidy DeNoon got the win, gave up one run and pitched eight strikeouts in five innings.
In the second game,
Kayla Davidson threw another 11 strikeouts, building on her 12 strikeouts from Saturday. Davidson got the win, and gave up only two runs (zero earned, one on an error and the other on a passsed ball).
Blair Little went 2-4 with three runs scored, including the game-winner after being the runner who started on 2B for the international tiebreaker in extra innings.
Megan Murray had a bases clearing double in the 8th inning and then scored on a single by LeBlanc four the four runs in extras.
Millsaps Softball will next be in action against Belhaven on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
