Cassidy DeNoon and
Kayla Davidson both pitched shutouts at home against Huntingdon. The Majors won the front end of the doubleheader 2-0 and the second end 12-0 to sweep the doubleheader against Huntingdon.
DeNoon earned the win for Millasps in the first game. She pitched all seven innings, surrendering zero runs, two hits, striking out ten batters, and walking zero.
Kaitlyn Casias,
Blair Little, and
MK Bozeman all had one hit to lead the Majors.
Blair Little's single to left field brought in two runners and ended up giving the Majors the 2-0 run they would never give up on the afternoon.
In the second game, an early lead helped propel Millsaps to a landslide victory. Scores on singles by
Rayne Gravat and
Hannah Doggett in the first inning set the tone early. Then, in the fourth inning, the Majors scored five runs, thanks to singles by
MK Bozeman,
Kendall Carder and an error by Huntingdon.
Kayla Davidson earned the win for the Majors. She pitched five innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, striking out nine batters and walking zero. The Majors had their offense rolling in this one, collecting 13 hits.
Rayner LeBlanc, Davidson, Gravat,
Kat Romero, and Doggett each collected multiple hits for Millsaps. On defense, the Majors didn't commit a single fielding error.
