Box Score 2 JACKSON, MISS. -- Millsaps Softball team dominates Sewanee in doubleheader at home. The Majors won the first game 18-0 in 5 innings and the second game 14-0 in 5 innings.
Millsaps got started early, with
Cameron Trussell running in in the first inning off an RBI from
Hannah Doggett. In the second inning, the floodgates opened and the Majors scored 9 runs to run away with the game early. Millsaps scored another run in the third then exploded for another seven runs in the fourth inning while shutting Sewanee out.
Everybody was in on the fun in this game, starting with the pitching. Cassidy Denoon didn't allow a hit and struck out five batters in three innings.
Shauna Blady only gave up one hit in her two innings played.
On offense,
Blair Little,
Rayne Gravat,
Hannah Doggett, and
MK Bozeman all hit three batters in, with
Hannah Dee Smith,
Cameron Trussell,
Rayner LeBlanc, and
Kaitlyn Casias also hitting well and earning RBIs in the game.
In the second game, the Majors kept their hot streak going, dominating Sewanee on offense and defense.
Kayla Davidson pitched all five innings, only gave up three hits and struck out 14 batters.
Kat Romero led all batters with four RBIs,
Rayne Gravat was right behind her with 3 RBIs.
Millsaps will face Sewanee tomorrow at 12pm as well for their third game of the weekend.
