Box Score 2 PINEVILLE, La. – The Millsaps Softball Team fell in a pair of road games to Louisiana College 1-3 and 0-4.
These games against Louisiana College are the season opener and first road games of the season for the Majors.
In the first game of the day, Millsaps got on the board first, with
Kaitlyn Casias scoring after an error by the short stop. Louisiana College answered two innings later, tying the game in the fifth inning, then scoring two more runs in the sixth inning to win the match.
MK Bozeman led all Majors with three hits in her four at-bats.
Rayne Gravat also got one hit on three at-bats.
Kayla Davidson faced 23 batters, pitched six strikeouts and gave up four hits and three runs. For the final game-one stat line, the Majors scored one run on an error while LC scored three runs on three hits and no errors.
In the second matchup of the day, Louisiana College started the game fast with a three run first. From that point on they didn't look back, scoring four runs on seven hits and shutting Millsaps out.
In the second game,
Kendall Carder got one hit on three at-bats and
Hannah Doggett got the Majors' only other hit.
Cassidy DeNoon faced 12 batters, struck out one batter and gave up four hits and four runs.
After starting the year on the road, the Majors will remain on the road, facing Southwestern University in Georgetown, Tx.
