JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College men's tennis team kicked off the final weekend of the 2018 regular season by hosting Rhodes College on Friday night.
In a match that was back and forth all night long, the Majors were able to come out on top by a final score of 5-4.
The win improves the Millsaps record to 14-6 overall and 5-1 in the SAA. The Lynx fall to 12-7 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Brandon Beck the Majors held the 2-1 advantage after doubles play.
In singles competition, the Lynx fought back and tied the match at 4-4 with just #4 singles remaining.
For Millsaps, Plummer and Centurion both secured their second wins of the evening.

Avinash Ananth fell behind after Rhodes took the first set 2-6. Ananth answered back in a big way however. He won the second set 7-5, and took the decisive third set 6-4 to clinch the win for the Majors.
What's Next?
The Majors are back at home for the final match of the regular season on Sunday. Millsaps hosts Hendrix College in a match that is set to begin at 12:00pm.
