JACKSON, Miss. – On Thursday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) softball tournament kicks off at Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The No. 6 seeded Majors take on No. 3 seeded Hendrix in the first round of play.
Millsaps just wrapped up the regular season this past weekend at Hendrix playing three competitive games in which the Majors lost two on walk-off hits, including a 1-0 defeat in ten innings in a game where
Cassidy DeNoon had a no hitter through 6.2 innings.
Pitching has been the strong point for the Majors, as of April 17th Millsaps boasts the second best team ERA in the SAA and 16th best in the nation at 1.92. DeNoon finished the regular season with a 1.66 ERA which is the fourth best in the SAA.
Kayla Davidson Reel, who is out for the remainder of the season with an injury, still finished the season with the fifth most strikeouts with 88 in 76.0 innings and a 1.38 ERA which is second best in the conference. The Majors will also look to

Shauna Blady and
Blair Little in the circle.
Catcher
Jordan Lipari led the Majors in hitting this season with a .350 batting average, 21 RBI, and ten doubles, while outfielder
MK Bozeman finished second on the team batting .333 with seven RBI and team high 17 stolen bases. Other standouts for the Majors include outfielder
Leslie Norris who hit .323 with 12 stolen bases and shortstop
Kendall Carder who batted .263 with 16 RBI, nine doubles, two triples, a homerun and swiped 11 bags.
The Majors will also rely heavily on second baseman
Blair Little, third baseman
Lindsey Osbon, designated player
Hailey Pearson, outfielder
Mackenzie Johnson, utility player
Cameron Trussell and outfielder
Micah Danos.
