SEWANEE, Tenn. – Playing in their first road game since March 20th, the Millsaps softball team snapped their six game losing streak in a big way with a 13-4 win in six innings at Sewanee. 13 runs is the most to cross the plate this season. The Majors improve to 15-14 overall and 3-9 in the SAA, while Sewanee drops to 4-25 on the season and 1-12 in the conference.

Millsaps set a new season high with 14 hits the game. MK Bozeman went 3-3 with four runs scored and two walks, Mackenzie Johnson finished 3-4 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored, Hailey Pearson went 2-4 with three RBI, Jordan Lipari went 1-4 with three RBI and a run scored and Leslie Norris and Kendall Carder each finished with multi-hit games.

Millsaps broke out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first two innings. Lipari hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Bozeman in the 1st. Two more came around in the 2nd when Johnson doubled in Lindsey Osbon and an error later allowed Johnson to score.

A big five run 4th inning put the game away for the Majors. Bozeman singled in Johnson for the first run and Lipari hit a double to bring in Bozeman and Norris. Cameron Trussell then drew a bases loaded walk to bring in one more and the final run of the inning scored when Blair Little hit an RBI groundout to score Peasron to extend the lead to 8-2.

Pearson drove in the ninth run of the game in the 5th with a two out single. Millsaps put the run-rule in place when four more runs scored in the 6th on Carder's RBI single, an error that scored Norris and a two RBI single off the bat of Pearson to make it a 13-4 lead.

Sewanee scored two runs in the 2nd and one run crossed the plate in both the 4th and 5th innings.
