JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps baseball team announced their 2022 season schedule on Saturday, which features a full 40 games and a heavy dose of home cooking. In total, the schedule features eight three-game series, nine doubleheaders and 25 home contests.
The Majors will kick off the season on the road in Texas to battle LeTourneau University in a three-game series on Feb. 4-5.
They will then compete at Twenty Field for over a month where they will host 14 straight home games, beginning on Feb. 11 with LaGrange College. Highlighting the month-long home stand will be a doubleheader against Westminster College on Feb. 18 as well as the first of three games in a midweek rivalry matchup against crosstown foe Belhaven on Feb. 22.
Millsaps will begin SAA play when they face Centre College to polish off their home stand, March 5-6. The Majors will travel to Smith-Wills Stadium to face Belhaven again on March 29 and will host the Blazers one final time to wrap up the Cowboy Maloney Series on April 5.
Senior day will take place on April 24 when Millsaps hosts Sewanee in the final game of the regular season. The first round of the SAA baseball playoffs will begin on April 28 with the championship series beginning on May 7.
