After the Majors forced an opening three-and-out, freshman

Jackson Demouy forced the blocked kick.
The War Hawks would answer on their next drive with a 25-yard field goal to make it a 7-3 Major lead five minutes in.
Both teams' next drives would stall, but the Majors won the battle for field position beginning their third drive on the McMurry 48-yard line. Millsaps would take advantage a few plays later as Davis found Tezzo free down the middle for a 36-yard touchdown score.
McMurry responded with their only touchdown of the afternoon on their ensuing drive following three big plays, cutting the deficit to 14-10 with four minutes remaining in the first quarter.
The Majors and War Hawks tightened up defensively as both teams were held scoreless in the second frame. Graduate defensive back

Millsaps would add to its lead on the opening drive of the second half after marching down the field. Tezzo would highlight the drive with a 24-yard reception before sophomore

McMurry would add a field goal in the opening seconds of the fourth quarter to make it a one score game. However, the Majors would hold with nine minutes on the clock following a missed 32-yard field goal.
The War Hawks then went for it on a 4th-and-3 from their own 42-yard line with under six minutes. The decision would prove costly as sophomore
Jett Coolman was there to force an incomplete pass.
Millsaps took advantage when Mason hauled in a highlight-worthy, one-handed catch to put the game out of reach at 27-13 following an extra point. The right-handed grab came on a 3rd-and-3 from the War Hawk 23-yard line with 2:38 to play.
The Majors would cement the victory by stopping McMurry on another fourth down attempt and running out the remaining time.
