JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College Athletics Department and the Millsaps Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will celebrate the NCAA's Division III Week with a series of events across campus, Monday through Friday. Division III (D3) Week enters its 13th year as an initiative, running April 10 through April 16.
Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. During the week, every Division III school and conference office is encouraged to conduct a type of outreach activity that falls into one of three categories: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement.
Millsaps has created a theme for each day of the week tied to the student-athlete experience and will host activities and a video centered around each theme. The Majors also plan on creating a video of all the week's events and enter it into the 2023 Division III #D3Week Video Contest.
Below is a list of activities and locations for each day. More details on D3 Week may also be found
here.

D3 Week is part of Division III's Identity Initiative, which was introduced in 2010 to sharpen the division's identity and to enable schools and conferences to more effectively explain why they prefer to compete in Division III. The initiative has been guided by a strategic-positioning platform, describing Division III as a place where student-athletes can "follow your passions and develop your potential," within an approach that combines rigorous academics, competitive sports and an opportunity to pursue other interests.
