JACKSON, Miss. – Millsaps softball celebrated the accomplishments of five outstanding student-athletes for Senior Day on Saturday.

Amber Clark,
Hannah Derouen,
Mackenzie Fleming and
Delta Claire Newman were recognized in the Sky Box after rain showers cleared the field.
No. 4 Berry won the game, 5-1 at Twenty Field. The teams have rescheduled the remaining games of the series for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Fleming finished 2-for-3, while freshman
Julia Strain batted 1-for-3 with a double and RBI. Sophomore
Ali Nolen added a hit and scored a run.
Derouen pitched all seven innings, holding the Vikings to four earned runs, three walks and posted two strikeouts.
Berry scored two runs in the first inning and added a third run in the second. Junior center fielder
Molli Perry was stellar defensively in the third inning, making back-to-back catches including a diving catch in left-center.
The Vikings scored again in the fourth to push their lead to 4-0. Millsaps answered with a tally in the bottom of the frame courtesy of a freshman
Julia Strain double. She powered home Nolen, who had reached on a fielder's choice. Berry scored once more in the sixth and held on for a 5-1 win.
