JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College Class of 2023 received their degrees during Commencement at the Christ United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 13. A total of 57 Millsaps College Athletics student-athletes who competed in and finished out their senior or graduate seasons during the 2022-23 athletic calendar received degrees during the event.
In total, 47 undergraduates obtained their degrees and 10 graduates earned their M.B.A. or M.Acc.
An additional eight student-athletes, who had their names read, are currently working toward degree competition following the Summer 2023 or Fall 2023 semesters.

Hannah Mattke (volleyball),
Ridge Murphy (football),
Nic Ojonta (football),
Bre Reed (volleyball) and
Rose Ward (women's cross country/track & field) tallied perfect 4.0 GPAs during their most recent undergraduate or graduate semester.
Football led the way with 14 graduates or graduates-to-be. Baseball followed with 12 total degree recipients. A count of 14 student-athletes are currently magna cum laude (3.80-3.99 GPA), while 13 hold cum laude status.
Clare Howard finished as valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 undergraduate GPA.
