ATLANTA – The Millsaps College Athletics Department and the Southern Athletic Association recognized the academic and athletic achievements of five Millsaps student-athletes, who were inducted into the prestigious Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society, following the 2022-23 academic year.
The five student-athletes were Millsaps baseball's
Austin Arceneaux,
Sam Pitre and
Wil Wood along with women's tennis'
Camille Fremaux and volleyball's
Bre Reed.
To earn the right to be inducted into the honor society, a student-athlete must have been a graduating senior and posted a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, named either to the All-SAA First-Team or All-SAA Second Team at least once in their playing career and have competed in their senior season.
A total of 79 student-athletes from across the SAA were inducted after the 2022-23 season.
