ATLANTA – The Millsaps College Department of Athletics performed well as scholar student-athletes, recording the second-most members on the SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll in program history. A total of 108 student-athletes made the list, announced by SAA Commissioner Stacey LaDew on Wednesday.
The Majors on the honor roll consisted of student-athletes across 12 sports, including Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving, Baseball, Softball, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, Men's Track & Field and Women's Track & Field.
Across eight current member institutions, the SAA tallied 1,325 individuals on the Honor Roll. The 1,325 is the second-largest Honor Roll in SAA history, just behind the Spring 2020 Honor Roll of 1,431 student-athletes and nearly 100 more than last season's honor roll.
Millsaps' 108 scholars are also second behind only the 2020 list of 127. The SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll dates back to 2013.
To qualify, student-athletes from the SAA's eight schools must have posted a minimum GPA of 3.25 for the semester and been a member of a conference-sponsored varsity sport.
