JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs look forward to a promising spring calendar with key veterans returning to the courts as both programs unveiled their schedules on Friday.
The women's team will open the season at home against Louisiana Christian University on Feb. 10. Both programs will then compete alongside each other the rest of the way.
The Majors remain in Jackson and travel across town for a rematch at Jackson State on Feb. 11. The second of a five-match road trip is next as the teams trek to New Albany, Miss. to challenge Blue Mountain College on Feb. 16. The following day sees the Majors face JUCO power Jones Community College.
A pair of Louisiana matches is next with matchups at Nicholls State on Feb. 24 and Dillard University on Feb. 25.
Millsaps then alternates back home for final non-conference matches with Copiah-Lincoln Community College on March 2 as well as Maryville College on March 17.
The Coach Montgomery Courts will next be the site of the Majors' Southern Athletic Association openers, featuring Birmingham-Southern on March 23.
Millsaps then treks to Centre (April 6) and Sewanee (April 7) before hosting four conference foes to close the regular season. The Majors are slated to welcome Rhodes (April 13), Hendrix (April 14), Oglethorpe (April 20) and Berry (April 21).
The Majors along with conference foes will descend on Murfreesboro, Tenn. for the SAA Men's and Women's Tennis Tournaments, April 26-28.
