BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Millsaps men's track and field distance runner
Patrick Elliott etched his name atop the school record books after posting a sizzling time in the indoor 3,000 meters at the Samford Bulldog Invitational on Saturday.
The senior finished 16th in the quality field at the Birmingham CrossPlex by crossing the line in 9 minutes, 7.62 seconds. He bettered the previous mark of 9:10.72 that was set by Ben Parva in 2014. Elliott was the lone representative for the Majors at the meet on Saturday, concluding the indoor campaign.
Millsaps men's and women's track and field will next begin their outdoor seasons on Saturday, March 2 at the Mississippi College Season Opener in Clinton.
