MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Millsaps softball team (6-10, 1-2 SAA) ended the weekend series by falling to Rhodes, 3-0 at the Rhodes Softball Field on Sunday.
Senior

Katie Norris and junior
Alli Nolen all batted 1-for-3. Perry tallied her 100th career stolen base as well.
Freshman
Allana Vasquez pitched 5.1 innings of relief while tallying one strikeout, one walk against two runs and seven hits.
Rhodes (12-13-1, 5-1 SAA) opened the scoring in bottom of the first inning with the help of a passed ball. The Lynx would attack again in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI double to grow their lead to 2-0.
In the top of the third inning, Perry would reach on a fielder's choice and steal second base. A ground out would end the frame for Millsaps.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Rhodes would strike again with a walk and pair of singles to build a 3-0 margin.
Later in the bottom of the sixth, Perry led off with single. However, she would be forced out at second before Rhodes would end the inning with a fly out and strikeout.
In the seventh inning, Norris would also open with a single, but back-to-back fly outs and a ground out to the Lynx's pitcher would end the game.
The Majors will be back in action on Wednesday to face Belhaven in a doubleheader, beginning on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Millsaps College Softball Complex. Live video and live stats will be available at gomajors.com.
