ATLANTA – The Millsaps men's tennis sophomore duo of Carson Chassaignac and Sam Tuli stood out among their peers last weekend and were named the SAA Men's Tennis Doubles Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

League coaches voted for the pair after the tandem downed their Birmingham-Southern opponents, 8-5 on Court One in Jackson on Saturday. The Panthers won the match, but the pair's performance was enough to impress.

Chassaignac and Tuli have earned back-to-back triumphs on Court 1 Doubles after dispatching a Maryville team, 8-1 on March 3. Additionally, the pairing bested a team from NCAA Division II Christian Brothers on Feb. 23 by a 6-2 decision.

Millsaps next travels to New Albany, Miss. and will face Blue Mountain Christian University, beginning at noon on Friday, March 29.
