ATLANTA – Millsaps men's track and field freshman
Jeremiah Hall had a record-setting day over the weekend and he was voted the SAA Men's Field Athlete of the Week by league coaches for his efforts on Tuesday.
Hall set the school record in the triple jump at the Belhaven Invitational on Saturday. The freshman finished first out of eight competitors with a distance of 13.72 meters (45' 0.25"). He bettered the old school mark set in 2015 by 0.5 meters. The distance currently ranks ninth across NCAA Division III.
The New Orleans, La., native also placed sixth in the long jump (6.27m), 23rd in the 100 meters (11.38) and 29th in the 200 meters (23.83).
The Millsaps men's and women's track and field programs next compete at the Bison Open in Searcy, Ark, beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 6.
