Millsaps Athletics Names 12 Student-Athletes on 2023-24 SAA Winter/Spring All-Sportsmanship Team

Dozen Student-Athletes Recognized for Exceptional Character and Fair Play

CANTON, Ga. – A select group of 12 Millsaps College student-athlete names were announced as members of the 2023-24 SAA Winter/Spring All-Sportsmanship Team. These Majors were selected by their coaches and were announced by the SAA office on Tuesday.

Formed in 2011, the SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play amongst all competitors.

Millsaps student-athletes who the team include Nathan Chilton (baseball), Helena Roe (women's basketball), TJ Hogan (men's basketball), Allana Vasquez (softball), Kaiden Auzenne (men's swimming and diving), Kat Burns (women's swimming and diving), Jeremiah Hall (men's track and field), Natalie Burke (women track and field), Davin Karst (men's golf), Annie Piggott (women's golf), Brady St. Martin (men's tennis) and Madison Williams (women's tennis).

Nathan Chilton, made appearances off the bench last season as a designated hitter. Chilton spent six seasons with the program and was always a vocal fixture from the dugout and would step up to the plate at a moment's notice.

Helena Roe started in all 29 games for the Majors last season. During her senior year, she helped the Millsaps women's basketball program finish with a 24-5 overall record while clinching the 2023-2024 SAA regular-season and tournament titles. The Madison, Miss., native finished third in the SAA with 33 blocks.

TJ Hogan appeared in 24 games while making 16 starts for Millsaps men's basketball his senior year. The Hattiesburg, Miss., product produced 100 points and 44 rebounds last season. Like others on this list, Hogan would step up when called upon and was always positive.

Allana Vasquez, a two-time SAA Softball Pitcher of the Week, started all 37 games for the Majors during the 2024 season. She earned a spot on the All-SAA First Team after being strong in the circle and in the batter's box as designated player.

Davin Karst demonstrated great work ethic throughout his freshman campaign for the Millsaps men's golf team after appearing in three competitions. He made his first collegiate appearance in the Alamo Classic on Oct. 10 where he placed 35th overall at plus-10 (77-75-71). He continued to work hard and earned a spot at the 2024 SAA Men's Golf Championship, finishing 42nd in his first collegiate season.

Annie Piggott, secured a spot on the SAA All-Sportsmanship team for the third consecutive season. As a junior, she became the first Major to finish on the All-SAA First Team by placing third at conference. Piggott also became the first women's golfer in league history to be named the SAA Women's Golf Athlete of the Week on four occasions.

Kaiden Auzenne competed well throughout the season and in the 2024 SAA Swimming and Diving Championships. He placed 16th and scored in the 100-yard freestyle (49.85 seconds). Auzenne competed in all four relays and was another tireless worker and positive sportsman throughout his sophomore season.

Kat Burns, a leader on the Millsaps women's swimming and diving team stood out last season An SAA Women's Swimmer of the Week on Oct.17, helped set three relay records at the conference meet. She also finished fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.61), 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (24.75 seconds) and 11th in the 100-yard freestyle final (54.42).

Jeremiah Hall, a 2024 All-SAA Honorable Mention track and field student-athlete, earned his stripes in the 4x100-meter relay and triple jump. He also finished fourth in the long jump as a freshman. Hall holds the school record in the triple jump (13.89 meters) and currently stands third in the record book in the long jump at 6.71 meters.

Natalie Burke, a Vicksburg, Miss., native competed in seven meets combined during the 2023-24 track and field indoor and outdoor seasons. Burke was a sprint and jumping specialist where she placed fourth in the triple jump (10.05 meters) at the Rhodes Track & Field Invitational and fourth in the long jump (4.67 meters) at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet. She also stood out at the 2024 SAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, securing fifth in the 200 meters (26.63 seconds) and helping the 4x100-meter relay tally fourth place (51.62 seconds).

Brady St. Martin represented for the Millsaps men's tennis team. On March 3, he helped the Majors take down Maryville College, 7-2. He earned an 8-3 doubles win on Court 3 in the contest. St. Martin's spirit was always on display at matches and during practice from fall to spring.

Madison Willams finished her senior campaign on the All-SAA Women's Tennis Second Team for Singles and Doubles. Williams also was a two-time SAA Women's Tennis Doubles Athlete of the Week, helping the Majors secure victories over Copiah-Lincoln, Maryville College, Birmingham-Southern, Hendrix and Oglethorpe.
