MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Millsaps men's tennis team battled tough and brought home a trio of victories at the ITA South Regionals, which were hosted at Rhodes College on Friday and Saturday.

Sophomore Sebastian Gonzalez earned a thrilling victory over Daniel Leard of Oglethorpe in the Open Singles Round of 32 on Friday.? After dropping the first set 7-5, he responded in the second set to win 6-3 before claiming a decisive 10-4 tiebreak.

A Rhodes foe ended Gonzalez's run in the Open Singles Round of 16, 6-0, 6-1.

Freshman Anderson Causey also claimed a victory against Ty Bush of Centre, 6-4, 6-2 in the Open Singles Consolation Round of 32. 

Additionally on Saturday, classmate Jon Titan Nguyen took home a win in the Consolation Quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-2 over Maximilian Henderson of Hendrix. Nguyen's run was stopped in the Consolation Semifinals by Maryville's Field Myatt. Nguyen won the first set, 6-4 before Myatt tied it with a 7-5 decision. The tiebreak broke in the Maryville foe's favor, 10-3.
