Major Four Named to CSC Academic All-District® Tennis Teams

Dulaney, Willard, Lister, Vordick Ace Academic Achievements in Classroom

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, announced by the College Sports Communicators recognized four members of the Millsaps College men's and women's tennis programs on Tuesday. 

On the men's team, seniors
Anderson Dulaney and Sam Willard both represented the Majors for their outstanding hard work inside the classroom.  

On the women's side, classmates
Segen Lister and Mackenzie Vordick each made the list as well after being recognized for their tremendous work ethic on the court and their academic studies.

To qualify a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. An individual must also have been in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition, excluding ITAs and non-team scored events.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3 (women) and June 4 (men).

Dulaney, double majoring in health and exercise science and business, holds an impressive 3.51 GPA in his academic studies. 
 

The Long Beach, Miss., native finished his senior campaign with an overall record of 8-8 in singles and 8-7 in doubles
matchups against his opponents. 

During the summer of 2024, Dulaney interned at Encore Physical Therapy
and spent the majority of his time working as a tennis coach, where he guided and assisted others on the court. 

Dulaney made both the Fall and Spring Dean's Lists
and won the 2024 ITA Scholar-Athlete Award. He was also recognized on the SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll for his achievements.  

After graduation
Dulaney plans to attend graduate school to further his education in business.

Willard, majoring in business administration, holds a stellar 3.77 GPA inside the classroom.  On campus he is a Presidential Ambassador and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
 
During the summers of 2020-2022, Willard worked as an intern with the Foundation for Affordable Housing.   

Willard has been named to the SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll three times, the Dean's List and a earned a spot on the SAA Winter/Spring All-Sportsmanship Team.


Additionally, he also received the 2024 ITA Sch
olar-Award for his well-deserved accomplishments within his studies at Millsaps. 

On March 10, Willard helped the
men's squad defeat the University of Northwestern 6-1 by routing his opponent 6-1 in doubles and 6-3, 6-4 in a single matchup on Court Four 

On
 Senior Day, he also helped the Majors defeat the #24 ranked Southwest Community College in the ITA NJCAA men's tennis rankings, 7-0. He downed his challenger with a 6-2 and 6-0 triumph in singles on Court Four. 

Lister, a business administration major, serves a strong 3.83 GPA. The Hoover, Ala., native's success off the court has led her to become
a member of Club 40, a part of the President's and Dean's Lists and the SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll twice to date.  

The 2024 ITA Scholar-Award recipient tallied five victories in singles against non-conference opponents
during her senior campaign.  

Vordick
, double majoring in biochemistry and business, boasts a 3.71 GPA. The Houma., La., product was also honored as a 2024 ITA Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. Vordick was also named to the 2023 Spring SAA All-Sportsmanship Team during her sophomore season.

On campus, Vordick was a biology lab assistant and member of the Kappa Delta Sorority, Rotary and SAACS Club, Enable America, AED, Pre-Health Society and Tri-Beta. 

During the 2025 season with six wins in singles and a 7-8 overall record in doubles.
 After graduation, Vordick plans to continue her education in medical school with a focus of becoming a dermatologist.
