CANTON, Ga. — Millsaps football freshman quarterback
Grant Bizjack had an incredible showing, helping the Majors defeat Hendrix 41-19 in Conway, Ark., on Saturday. On Monday, Bizjack was voted the SAA Football Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Bizjack tallied 416 all-purpose yards and threw for five touchdowns. He totaled 352 passing yards on 26-of-36 attempts, while also rushing for 64 yards on eight carries.
The Trophy Club, Texas, product's five passing scores is tied for third in a single-game in program history and his 416 total yards is sixth.
It is the second consecutive week that a Major has been recognized by the SAA with a weekly honor. Last week sophomore
Connor Babin was
named the SAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
The Majors enter their bye week and return to face Centre College on Saturday, Oct. 4, beginning at 12 p.m. CT. Live video and live stats will be be provided at gomajors.com.
