CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps College Department of Athletics set academic records once again as 95 student-athletes were recognized on the 2025 Southern Athletic Association Fall Academic Honor Roll. The Majors totaled the highest number of Fall scholars ever, spanning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and Southern Athletic Association (SAA) eras, dating back to the 1997 season.
Across nine current member institutions, the SAA tallied a record-number 984 individuals on the Honor Roll. To qualify, student-athletes from the SAA's member schools must have posted a minimum GPA of 3.25 for the semester and been a member of a conference-sponsored varsity sport.
The previous record for Millsaps was set last Fall with 86 student-athletes.
This Fall saw the Millsaps football team led the way with 28 scholar-athletes, while men's soccer finished second with a program-record 24 recipients, representing 64 percent of the team.
Volleyball took the third spot with 19 selections as women's soccer finished closely behind with 15 honorees.
In women's cross country, five of the six student-athletes were honored for their academic achievements, representing 83 percent of the entire team.
The men's cross country squad finished strong for the Majors, with four runners being acknowledged for their success inside the classroom.
