CANTON, Ga. — Millsaps College men's track and field junior distance runner
Greer Hernandez made history by becoming the first Major in school history to be named the Southern Athletic Association Men's Track Athlete of the Week for indoor on Tuesday.
Hernandez ran swiftly at the UAB Green and Gold Invitational on Friday. He became the second-fastest runner in program history in both the mile and 3,000 meters. He placed 17th in the mile (4:36.23) and 20th at 3K (9:07.81).
The Majors will be back in action at the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championships in Danville, Ky., Feb. 27-28.
