FRANKSTON, Texas -- The Millsaps men's and women's golf programs continued their spring campaigns at the Goliath Compression Invitational, Monday and Tuesday. LeTourneau University played host at the Pine Dunes Resort & Golf Club.
Sophomore
Abigail Cerwick carded her lowest two-round score of the season at plus-18, and lowest individual round of her collegiate career at plus-6. She finished just nine strokes back of the leader, and six back of second place on the challenging course. Cerwick placed 13th with rounds of 78 and 84.
On the men's side, the Majors finished in a tight pack in 45th, 46th, and tied for 47th. Senior
Steven Noack carded a plus-26 after three rounds. He finished one stroke ahead of junior
Jason Howe at plus-27.
Rounding out the Millsaps score at plus-28 were sophomores
Charlie Berglund and
Miles Harrison. The Majors placed eighth against the challenging field.
The Millsaps men's golf team will next take part in the Bill Cochran Invitational in Memphis, Tenn., while the Millsaps women's golf squad will compete in the Joe & Lee Duncan Invitational in Tunica Resorts, Miss. Both events will take place April 13-14.
