Major Quartet Recognized on CSC Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s At-Large Teams

Cerwick, Berglund, Kroell, Noack Bag Academic Honors Following 2025-26 Seasons

GREENWOOD, Ind.— The Millsaps College men's and women's golf program received recognition on the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams after four student-athletes executed high accomplishments in their academic studies. The College Sports Communicators made the announcement on Tuesday.

On the women's side, sophomore Abigail Cerwick was recognized for the first time in her collegiate career. The men's team was led by sophomore Charlie Berglund, junior Julius Kroell, and senior Steven Noack.  
 
These student athletes compete in both Fall and Spring semesters on the golf course, while also balancing their education in many great ways.  
 
Eligible nominees must have been in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament. An undergraduate student-athlete must also have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be a sophomore academically and athletically.

Cerwick, a Business and Studio Art major, finished her 2025-26 season with a dominating 4.0 cumulative GPA inside the classroom while also continuing to make a name for herself in the conference on the green.
    
The Helena, Ala., native has been announced to Club 40 twice to date, the President's List on multiple occasions, the SAA Academic Honor Roll twice.
 
During the 2024-25 season, she was named the SAA Women's Golf Newcomer of the Year and to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team. 
 
Named to the 2025-26 SAA Women's Golf All-Sportsmanship Team, Cerwick carded the best three-round total of her collegiate career at plus-36 in the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Golf Championships on April 26 at the Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. 
 
A great leader on and off the golf course, Berglund is a Health and Exercise Science major who holds a 3.88 cumulative GPA. 
 
Following two years of dedication and striving to be his best at Millsaps College, Berglund has been named to Club 40 and the SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll, President's List and Dean's List.

During the 2025-26 season, Berglund was made SAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week on Oct. 29, 2025.  
 
Berglund earned the honor after competing at The Refuge Golf Course in two rounds of action before a conference-wide Sports Information Directors tallied their votes for his outstanding performance. 
 
He recorded rounds of 73 and 76 for a total of 149 (+5), following a weekend of rain. He secured a career-best placement and his first-ever top-10 finish, tying for seventh overall.  
 
Berglund helped the Majors finish fourth as a team out of 11 total squads in the final event of the fall.
 
Kroell, a transfer from Doane University, competed for the Majors during the 2025–26 season while earning a 3.59 cumulative GPA as a Business Administration major.
 
The Munich, Germany, native posted a career-best 1-under 71 in the final round of the Space City Classic, March 9-10 at the Gus Wortham Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas. 
 
Kroell also helped the Majors finish the 2025-26 regular-season out strong were he tied for 21st at the Cochran Collegiate with a plus-18 after three rounds of competition. 
 
In the 2026 SAA Golf Championships, he made an outstanding final push up the leaderboard, improving nine spots in the final round, and moving into a tie for 35th. He fired an even 72, which featured five birdies, in the Final Round to finish at plus-15 overall. 
 
Noack earned a spot on the CSC Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team for the second consecutive season after posting a 3.67 cumulative GPA as an Accounting major during his senior year. 
 
He also received his undergraduate degree during the Millsaps College 2026 Spring Commencement and now looks ahead to a bright future. 
 
Recognized on the 2025-26 SAA Men's Golf All-Sportsmanship Team, Noack is a multi-time member of the Dean's List and has been named to the CSC Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team as well as the SAA Academic Honor Roll twice.  
 
The Austin, Texas, native concluded his senior campaign by finishing 35th at plus-15 in the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Golf Championships at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn., on April 26.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators and nominated by members, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.  
 
NCAA and NAIA Women's At-Large Academic All-America® First-, Second- and Third-Team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 7, while the men's announcement will follow on Wednesday, July 8.  
 
The At-Large Teams recognize competitors outside of baseball, basketball, cross country, football, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field as well as volleyball.
