CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps College Department of Athletics continues to excel academically, with 83 student-athletes earning recognition on the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced by SAA Commissioner Stacey LaDew on June 17.
The 83 Majors on the honor roll consisted of 10 winter and spring sports that showcased their performances. These student-athletes not only represented Millsaps College proudly, but also the conference by showing great integrity in the sports they competed in. The conference combined for a record number of 1,429 total student-athletes on the SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Baseball led the Majors with 26 student-athletes, while softball finished second with 13 honorees. The women's track & field team placed third with 11 honorees, with women's basketball tallying 10 student-athletes.
Millsaps men's basketball and men's golf each had six student-athletes named to the Spring 2026 SAA Academic Honor Roll to continue the Majors' outstanding academic performances.
On the men's track and field team, five student-athletes were selected, while the men's tennis team had three representatives close out strong for the Majors. A duo was acknowledged on the women's tennis team, and the Millsaps women's golf team had one selected.
To qualify, student-athletes from the SAA's member schools must have posted a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher for the Spring Semester and been a member of a conference-sponsored varsity sport. Student-athletes who meet the criteria are submitted to the SAA by each member institution.
