JACKSON, Miss. — The Millsaps College women's soccer team fell to Centenary College, 4–2, in a closely contested Senior Night matchup Friday at Harper Davis Field.

During the pregame ceremony Friday, the Majors recognized seniors Alex Bremond, Becca Quick, and Reese Brasseaux as they walked onto midfield alongside their families. The ceremony celebrated their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout their years at Millsaps College on the soccer field.

Bremond scored on her only shot and added an assist for three points. Freshman Hailie Moorer scored and led Millsaps with four shots, putting three on goal. First-year student Kayla Borden recorded six saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal. Classmate Henley Havens added an assist and one shot.

Millsaps scored both of its goals after halftime and was even at 2-2 during a second-half stretch from 68:48 to 75:19, when it withstood four Centenary attacking actions but could not hold off Centenary. Millsaps finished with 12 shots, six on goal, while Centenary recorded 15 shots and 10 on goal.

The Majors withstood an early Centenary push from the 8th to 16th minutes, facing three corner kicks and two shots, while Borden saved a Ladies attempt to keep the match scoreless as a standout goalkeeper.

Moorer put Millsaps' first shot on frame at 17:14, but Centenary scored 27 seconds later through Valerie Miranda, then added another Miranda goal at 22:05 for a 2-0 lead.

Millsaps generated a response with Moorer forcing another save at 23:59, a corner kick at 26:55, and additional attempts from junior Zillia Biniam and freshman Victoria Viquez before the half-hour mark. The home side added a late corner and shots from Havens and sophomore Rowan Crovetto, while Borden made another save in the final minutes, but Millsaps went into halftime trailing 2-0.

The Majors erased a 2-0 deficit early in the second half, with Bremond scoring from Havens' assist at 48:14 and Moorer finishing off Bremond's assist at 55:15 to tie it 2-2. Borden made four second-half saves, including stops on Valerie Miranda in the 55th, 70th, and 77th minutes around multiple visiting chances and corners.

Viquez put a shot on frame in the 65th minute, and freshman Madison Perez forced another Majors kick that was collected by the Ladies' goalkeeper in the 79th minute as Millsaps continued to look for chances. Centenary (La.) broke through with goals at 76:44 and 78:58, and Millsaps pushed late with a corner in the 90th minute and a shot by Biniam before the match ended 4-2..
