Atlanta, GA – The Millsaps Women's Tennis Team fell to Emory in Georgia by a score of 9-0.
 
Saturday's match marks the second of the weekend for the Majors, as they dropped the non-conference road matchup to fourth ranked Emory.  After clinching the match in singles play, the Eagles later earned the 9-0 win in doubles.
 
In singles play, Ashley Ford fell to 14th ranked Bridget Harding 6-1, 6-0 at the one spot.  Audrey Bennett then fell to 34th ranked Beatrice Rosen 6-2, 6-0, as Jordyn Kanak dropped a 6-0, 6-0 matchup to #28 ranked Madison Gordon.
 
The Eagles later secured wins at the four, five and six spots to clinch the match.  In doubles play, the Eagles earned a one spot win 8-3.  With a 8-2 win at the two spot, the Eagles defeated the duo of Anna Brahce and Tori Barbier 8-0 to close out the day of play.
 
Now at 9-4, the Majors will look to rebound with another non-conference matchup on the road tomorrow.  The Millsaps Women's Tennis Team will travel to Decatur, Georgia to face Agnes Scott Sunday, March 20th.  Opening play against the Scotties is set for 8:00 am.
