Jackson, MS – The Millsaps Softball team fell in the final contest of a three-game series with Berry by a score of 6-0.
 
The Vikings scored four runs in the seventh and led throughout Sunday's contest to secure the game three win.  Kat Romero had the hit for Millsaps as the Majors completed the game with one hit and two errors while the Vikings finished with six runs on nine hits and three errors.
 
With the win, Berry improves to 27-6 overall and 13-2 in conference while the Majors drop to 18-19 and 7-8.
 
Berry took an early lead with a home run in the first – and never looked back.  The Vikings added another in the second and four in the top of the seventh en route to the 6-0 victory.
 
Millsaps left 10 runners on base as Majors' starting pitcher - Mary Claire Shepard -pitched a complete game.  The Majors were in scoring position multiple times for the contest, but Berry's solid defense eventually closed out the contest for the final game of the series.
 
Now at 18-19, the Majors will look to rebound with the final conference series of the regular season.  The Millsaps Softball team will travel to Tennessee to face Sewanee for a three game series starting Saturday, April 16th.
 
The Tigers and Majors play a double-header on Saturday with first pitch for game one set at 12:00 pm.
