KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Millaps College women's tennis team wrapped up their spring break trip in the Sunshine State on Wednesday afternoon. The Majors took on Swarthmore College. Unfortunately, the Garnet led 3-0 after doubles and it proved too much for Millsaps to overcome in the 6-3 loss.
Down 3-0 after doubles play the Majors dug in as the match moved to singles.
Grace Gaskins picked up a huge come-from-behind three set win at #1 to get Millsaps a point.
Maggie Dabadie won a pair of close sets at the #2 spot for the Majors' second point, and
Ella Shields cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 win at singles #3.
Unfortunately, Swarthmore took the remaining three singles matches to close out the 6-3 win.
What's Next?
Millsaps returns home with a 7-4 overall record on the year. The Majors host UT Tyler on Friday, March 23
rd in their final non-conference match of the season.
