JACKSON, Miss. – It was the final match of the 2018 regular season for the Millsaps College women's tennis team on Sunday. The Majors celebrated Senior Day by sweeping the Warriors of Hendrix College 9-0.
The win improves the Millsaps record to 13-6 overall on the year, and 6-1 in the SAA. Hendrix falls to 2-10 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
The Majors really dominated in doubles play.

Ella Shields grabbed an identical 8-1 win at #3 and

Maggie Dabadie closed things out with an 8-4 win at #2.
As the match moved into singles competition Millsaps quickly put the finishing touches on their win.
Jordyn Kanak picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win at #2.
Tori Barbier clinched the match for the Majors with a 6-1, 6-0 win at #6. Hayek picked up her second win of the day 6-3, 6-1 at #4.
Morgan Jenkins scored a 6-1, 6-3 win at #3.
Jillian Sandoz defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-3 at #5, and
Ella Shields finished off the sweep with a 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 win at #1.
What's Next?
Today marks the end of the 2018 regular season for the Majors. Millsaps will be the #2 seed in the SAA Tournament in Murfreesboro, Tennessee when it gets underway this week.
The Majors take on #7 seed Rhodes College in the quarterfinal round on Thursday.
