MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Millsaps College women's tennis team began postseason play with the SAA Tournament on Friday morning.
In the opening round the Majors easily knocked off Rhodes College 5-1 to advance to the semifinals.
Millsaps started with one point in doubles because Rhodes only had four players. The Lynx took the first doubles match, but
Maggie Dabadie and
Rachel Beck knocked off their opponent 8-1 at #2 to give the Majors a 2-1 lead heading into singles.
Due to the missing players the Millsaps lead immediately went to 4-1.
The #3 singles match was the only one that finished.
Ella Shields cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 lead to give the Majors the opening round win.
What's Next?
