Box Score NEW ORLEANS – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs had their season openers against NAIA's No. 3 ranked Xavier (La.) at the XULA Tennis Courts on Friday. Both teams were bested 7-0 and will next play at Blue Mountain College on Saturday, Feb. 19.

John Kimball and
Jakub Bobinski was the most competitive in doubles action as they lost a competitive 6-2 match on Court 2.
Trevor Vaccaro and
Hamilton Jackson were downed 6-0, while the freshmen pair of
Sam Willard and
Brady St. Martin were outdueled 6-1 by their counterparts. In singles action, Kimball and Vaccaro both lost tight first sets of 7-6, but were ultimately defeated in close battles.

Isabella Hutchins/
Mary Dabadie were defeated in straight sets while
Sarah Hayek and

Madison Williams (6-0, 6-4) claimed multiple games in singles matches against their opponents, but were eventually defeated.
