SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Millsaps women's tennis team faced fierce competition during the ITA South Regional Tournament hosted by Sewanee, Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.
 
"The Majors prepared hard for this tournament and it showed," said Millsaps head men's and women's tennis coach Agnes Gee.
 
Graduate Camille Fremaux, senor Madison Williams, sophomore Alexis Oliver and junior Mary Dabadie made it to the Main draw playing some of their best matches.
 
Fremaux fought through her first round match against Williams (Centre), while Madison Williams made it to the quarterfinals of the consolation. The Fremaux/Williams duo did well in doubles, winning a match against a Rhodes duo.
 
Junior Mackenzie Vordick and Segen Lister competed in the "Purple" draw, where they won matches in the draw and consolation, respectively. The Vordick/Lister doubles team also won their draw in consolation. Individually, Vordick advanced to the quarterfinal of the "Purple" draw, advancing to the quarterfinal by defeating a Piedmont and Asbury player along the way.
 
"I'm very proud of these young women for their effort, resistance and strength that was required during these three days," said Gee.
