Senior Austin Arceneaux leads the team with a .383 batting average followed by classmate Sam Pitre (.348), graduate Chris Hart (.316) and junior Jackson Ware (.302).

Hart has 50 hits and 38 runs scored, while Pitre is right behind with 49 hits and 36 runs. Pitre leads with three home runs, all of which came last weekend, while Arceneaux, Hart, Ware and sophomore Bradley Pelle are tied with two home runs each.

Junior Case Page paces the team with 30 RBIs, while Pitre and Ware sit tied with 27 RBIs.

Freshman Stewart Bonnecaze leads the pitching staff with a 3.92 ERA and is second with four wins. Senior Wil Wood (4.50 ERA) has tallied the most wins with six to go along with a team-high 54 strikeouts.

Sophomore Nick Tarantino (5.54 ERA) and Bonnecaze have both posted 47 strikeouts thus far. Other pitchers that should make an impact are junior Graham Harrison (4.50 ERA) and graduate Jackson Russo (5.06 ERA).

2023 SAA Men's & Women's Golf Tournament Millsaps men's and women's golf look to finish the season strong at the 2023 SAA Men's & Women's Golf Tournament to be hosted by Sewanee at Greystone Golf Club, April 28-30. There will be live scoring throughout the three rounds of competition.

The Majors featured three student-athletes in the top 11 during the SAA Men's Fall Preview on the same course in September. Sophomore Will Danielson finished tied for third by going even (75-69—144). Senior Gabe Brooks placed eighth (75-72—147) and classmate Andrew Lovejoy tied for 11th (75-76—151).

Brooks also carded a top-five performance at the DIII Lidlifter in March (T-5th, 80-68—148) and Lovejoy has secured three top-10 placements this season.

Expect sophomore Annie Piggott to place well on the women's side. She is fresh off a strong showing at the Birdie Spritz Panther's Classic in Alabama, where she finished tied for sixth on April 18.

The sixth-place performance was Piggott's fifth top-10 collegiate plaudit and third during her sophomore campaign.

2023 SAA Softball Tournament The Millsaps softball team enters the 2023 SAA Softball Tournament in the Berry Pod as the No. 4 seed with a 7-11 league mark. They will face No. 5 seed Sewanee, beginning the double-elimination competition at 1 p.m. CT on Friday. Host Berry will also look to advance to SAA Championship Weekend as the No. 1 seed.

Junior Brianna Newman leads the team with a .352 batting average. Also hitting above .300 are classmates Katie Norris (.341), Molli Perry (.320) and senior Magen Authement (.301).

Perry leads the Majors with 31 hits, 30 runs, 23 stolen bases, 21 walks and two home runs. Norris (28 hits) tops the squad at 18 RBIs and seven doubles.

Additionally, Authement and Nolen (21 runs, 13 RBIs) were tied with 25 hits, while junior Haylie Hoffpauir has accumulated 17 RBIs.

Expect senior Hannah Derouen (3.34 ERA) to take charge in the circle. Derouen has six wins, 66 strikeouts, nine complete games and 100.2 IP.

Fellow senior Delta Claire Newman (6.81 ERA) should also see playing time with three wins and 27 strikeouts in 62.2 IP. Freshman Abigail Smith (5.83 ERA) has also grown stronger as the season has gone along with a 3-2 record and 11 strikeouts in 30.0 IP.

2023 SAA Men's & Women's Tennis Tournament The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs will head to Chattanooga, Tenn. to compete in the 2023 SAA Men's & Women's Tennis Tournament, beginning on Friday. The Majors are the designated host school of the event, which will be held at the Champions Club Tennis Complex. Local indoor courts have been reserved in the event of rainy weather.

The women's team secured the No. 5 seed with a 3-4 SAA record. They will be paired against No. 4 seed Berry in a quarterfinal match slated for a 9:15 a.m. CT start. In the men's field, the Majors will hold the No. 7 seed and challenge No. 2 seed Birmingham-Southern, beginning at noon CT on Friday.

On the women's tennis team, sophomore Segen Lister leads with six singles victories from Court 6. Classmates Alexis Oliver (Court 4/5) and Mackenzie Vordick (Court 4/5) are tied with five wins apiece.

In doubles, sophomore Mary Dabadie and junior Madison Williams have triumphed four times together, mainly on Court 2.

For the men's squad, sophomore Carson Chassaignac has the most singles victories with seven across Courts 2 through 4. Both graduate John Kimball (Courts 1-3) and senior Kells Hecht (Court 6) have notched five wins.

At the doubles level, the duo of Kimball and senior Hamilton Jackson are 8-8 on the season at Court 3. Freshman Sam Tuli and senior Trevor Vaccaro are right behind with seven triumphs, mostly on Court 2.

2023 SAA Track & Field Championship The Millsaps men's and women's track and field programs will trek to Danville, Ky. for the 2023 SAA Track & Field Championship. Centre will play host inside Andy Frye Stadium at Joe McDaniel Field, Friday and Saturday.

On the men's side, sophomore Dez'Tavien Frank ranks fourth across the SAA in the 400 (school record 49.89 seconds) and fifth in the 200 (22.64).

Senior Christopher Butler sits second for the long jump (6.72 meters) and sixth in the 100 (10.97).

Junior Patrick Elliott should place well in 800 after finishing fourth a season ago. He ranks 14th this year (1:59.66) as well as ninth in the 1500 with a time a 4:04.50.

Senior William Weber looks poised for a strong meet as he is fourth in the javelin (50.76 meters) and fifth in the pole vault (4.25 meters). Freshman Thor Debetaz finds himself eighth in the javelin (44.51 meters) and junior Anthony Mayfield is 10th in the triple jump (11.59m).

The Majors currently rank third in the 4x100-meter relay (43.12) and fifth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:34.94).

In the women's competition, sophomore Alexandra Raybourn is eighth in both the 400 (1:02.48) and 800 (2:29.82).

Classmate Sarah Strickland posted the school record in the 1500 at the Southern Miss Invitational on March 31 with a mark of 5:02.82.

The field events are well represented with Millsaps student-athletes as freshman Eleanor Scott is second across the league in the high jump (1.55 meters). Classmate Sierra Schmidt is third in pole vault (school record 3.05 meters) and sophomore Natalie Burke is fourth in the long jump (5.19 meters).

Both Scott (fourth, school record 10.65 meters) and Burke (eighth, 10.29 meters) own top-eight showings in the triple jump. Additionally, sophomore Tyler Hamby has recorded the eighth-best league toss in the javelin at 30.31 meters.

Each of the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays are ranked fifth entering the conference meet. A full list and schedule of Millsaps student-athletes competing is listed below.
