Millsaps College Athletics Recognizes 118 President's and Dean's List Scholars

Student-Athletes Achieved 3.5 GPA or Greater During 2025 Fall Semester

JACKSON, Miss. — The Millsaps College Department of Athletics received praise for its outstanding academic achievement, with 118 student-athletes earning spots on either the President's List or the Dean's List following the 2025 Fall Semester, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence.

Undergraduate students who earn a GPA of 3.85 or higher are named to the President's Scholars List, while those achieving at least a 3.5 GPA are recognized on the Dean's Scholars List.

All honored students have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours, received grades of C or higher in all courses, and upheld the standards of good citizenship as judged by the president and the dean.

M
illsaps Athletic programs achieved significant academic success, with 18 out of 19 programs as well as cheerleaders all being represented. The Millsaps men's soccer team led with 18 student-athletes, followed closely by the Millsaps football team with 17.

The Millsaps baseball team also saw a strong academic performance with 16 student-scholars on either the President's or Dean's Lists. The Millsaps women's soccer team contributed 12 student-athletes, while the Millsaps volleyball team included 11 scholars.


Across campus, 205 students achieved recognition on the President's List or the Dean's List, with 58 percent being student-athletes. A total of 11 individuals were multi-sport athletes.

Millsaps recognized 79 students on the President's List, including 40 student-athletes who prioritized their academics to achieve this distinction. The President's List comprised 51 percent of the student-athletes.

A total of 126 names were presented on the Dean's List, with 62 percent consisting of student athletes. The Majors totaled 78 college athletes as Dean's scholars.
