TUNICA RESORTS, Miss. — The Millsaps men's golf team program showcased resilience and individual highlights at the Rhodes Fall Invitational, finishing eighth out of 13 competitive teams on the Tunica National Golf Club course. Sophomore
Miles Harrison led the charge with a standout performance, finishing tied for ninth place at plus-five following three combined rounds of play on Sunday and Monday.
Harrison's impressive total of 10 birdies over the course of the event, including five in the opening round, demonstrated his ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities early and maintain momentum throughout the tournament. Harrison (70-74-77–221) posted his best individual finish, lowest round and lowest 54-hole score of his young collegiate career.
Joining Harrison in leading the team was sophomore
Charlie Berglund, who finished tied for 30th (79-74-77–230) at plus-14. Berglund exhibited consistent play throughout the invitational, methodically parring holes on both the left and right sides of the course.
Junior
Julius Kroell added a solid showing, finishing tied for 36th (74-78-80–232) at plus-16. Classmate
Jason Howe rounded out the top half of the team's leaderboard and scoring with a tie for 48th place (77-79-80–236) at plus-20.
True freshman
William Jeonsson gained valuable experience and showed promise, carding in a tie for 53rd place (78-78-81–237) at plus-21. Berglund, Kroell, Howe and Jeonsson all had season-low rounds in the Majors' second team competition of the fall.
