SAA Releases 2026 Men’s and Women’s Tennis Preseason Poll

Majors Open Season at Blue Mountain Christian on Feb. 7

CANTON, Ga. – The Southern Athletic Association announced the 2026 SAA Men's and Women's Tennis Preseason Polls. The Millsaps women's program where selected seventh, while the men's team was picked eighth, as revealed by the league office on Thursday. 
 
The women will also look to return to the SAA Championship as the men will work to join them. The top six teams in the conference will look to qualify for the postseason competition. 
 
On the women's side, conference newcomers Trinity University led the way with 55 points and six first-place votes. 
 
Sewanee finished second with 49 points and two first-place tallies. Rhodes College received the third spot with 43 points. 
 
The Millsaps women will look to continue proving doubters wrong after being placed seventh in the preseason poll with 20 points. 
 
On the men's side, Trinity University was also placed first in the preseason poll with 56 points and seven first-place votes. 
 
Sewanee landed in second place with 49 points and the final first-place plaudit. Southwestern completed third place with 45 points. 
 
Millsaps men will work and finished higher than their conference foes after ranking eighth in the 2026 preseason poll with 15 points. 
 
The Majors open the season at Blue Mountain Christian on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Blue Mountain, Miss.
