JACKSON, Miss. -- The Millsaps College Department of Athletics hosted its annual Club 40 for the eighth semester. A total of 28 student-athletes received recognition for obtaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and were acknowledged with a luncheon on Tuesday.
The tremendous hard work of these 28 student-athletes is not only reflected in the sports they compete in, but also in their academic performance. They show a strong commitment to themselves, as well as to their teachers, parents, peers, coaches, and the Millsaps College community.
Making a difference inside the classroom, 17 student-athletes placed their names on Club 40 for the first time.
The Majors had two scholar-athletes make list for the second occasion, while seven honorees were recognized three times.
Millsaps had one student-athlete who made Club 40 on four occasions, and another student-athlete who made it for the fifth semester.
Men's soccer junior standout Ethan Pratt led the Majors with five Club 40 appearances, while women's basketball senior star Elyse Warren finished with her fourth recognition.
Women's soccer led the way with seven student-athletes, while men's soccer and baseball were tied with four each.
Millsaps had 14 of 18 total varsity programs featured in Club 40, while two student-athletes participated in both fall and winter sports.

1st time winners received a Club 40 t-shirt.
2-time winners will received a Club 40 pullover.
3-time winners received a Club 40 tumbler.
4-time winners receive a Club 40 backpack.
5-time winners received a Club 40 blanket.
