Women’s Track and Field Named an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

Majors Record 3.41 Cumulative GPA Following 2026 Season

NEW ORLEANS – The Millsaps women's track and field team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors for the fifth consecutive season after posting a 3.41 cumulative team GPA showing strong commitment inside the classroom, while competing during the 2026 season. The U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association made the announcement on Monday, July 20.

A few student-athletes highlighted the Majors' efforts athletically include senior Eleanor Scott. She was named to both the 2025-26 SAA Indoor and Outdoor All-Sportsmanship Teams, chosen by Millsaps' track and field coaches. 
 
Scott set the Millsaps indoor triple jump record at the Samford Opening on Jan. 18 with a mark of 10.37 meters. 

One of Scott's best performances also came on April 11 at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet, where she won the triple jump with a mark of 10.53 meters. 
 
At the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Clinton, Miss., native concluded her collegiate career by recording a season-best mark of 1.52 meters in the high jump in seventh, and placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.85 meters. 

Junior Fiona Selders was also well prepared for the 2026 SAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She made the Majors proud by becoming the second-fastest performer in program history in the 100 meters in the prelims with a time of 12.38 seconds.

The Zachary, La., native competed in five meets and currently ranks second in the Millsaps outdoor track and field record book in the 200 meters, and third in the 400 meters to go along with her accolades.
 
Classmate Amelia Bohl entered the conference championships, ranked ninth in the discus (34.84 m) and 14th in the hammer throw (37.86 m). 
 
Sophomore Laken Day placed ninth in the javelin throw on the 2026 SAA Outdoor Performance list out of 23 competitors. 
 
In the field events as well, senior Amari Jackson-Wright currently ranks fourth in both the Millsaps indoor and outdoor record books in the shot put.

For programs to qualify as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, a cumulative team GPA of all student-athletes must be at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale through the Spring semester.
