JACKSON, Miss.—The Millsaps College women's soccer team is looking to continue ascending up the conference table in the 2026 season. The Majors feature 26 student-athletes, including 13 freshmen, 12 returners, and one transfer.
Millsaps will be led by second-year head coach Luke Schwarz along with assistant coaches Lauren Samford and Mary Ranager.
The team posted two quality showings in preseason against East Central Community College and Hinds Community College and are ready for positive results in the win column.
Senior Alex Bremond will be returning to the field after leading the Majors last season with seven goals, tied for second with three assists, while accumulating a team-high 21 shot attempts and 13 shots on goal.
Junior Suzanna Busbee, a veteran leader, started in all 17 games last season, boasting four goals, one assist, 16 shots, and 12 shots on goal.
Key contributors will also include seniors Becca Quick and Reese Brasseaux, who are entering their fourth seasons with the Majors. Junior transfer Kaleigh Toenjes, who joins Millsaps from Adams State University, could also have a breakout season alongside Zillia Biniam, who is returning from an injury suffered during the 2025 fall slate.
Ready to score against their opponents, the sophomore class will include Anahi Sanchez, Ava Sutton, Rowan Crovetto, Jordyn Templeton, Eliana Candebat, Rachel Parr, and Alicia Olivas.
During the 2025 season, Sutton scored two goals, while Templeton, Crovetto, and Olivas each scored one goal during their freshmen campaigns.
The newcomers will feature Amelia Smith, Hailie Moorer, Jeanae Minor, Madison Perez, Olivia Merrell, Victoria Viquez, Henley Havens, Eden Birch, Emyly Morales, Dallys Alexander, Bella Theriot, Kayla Borden, and Olivia Umanzor. The freshman class includes 13 student-athletes, making it the largest incoming class in recent seasons. Borden and Umanzor will look to stand tall as keepers.
Millsaps will host eight regular season opponents while also competing in eight total conference contests during the 2026 season.
